Our corporate culture is based on four core values on which we have built our history and that we always keep with us to face with confidence tomorrow’s challenges.
ACHIEVEMENT: We are proud of our heritage and excited about our future. Our achievements are the building blocks of our future legacy, always honoring the trust given to us by our patients and customers.
SAFETY: Following all safety rules and guidelines is a personal and collective responsibility. Our behaviour illustrates how much we care about each other, be it our team or everyone who visits the site.
COMMUNITY SPIRIT: No man is an island, especially for us being a community connected by our love of Bahamian culture. Community spirit is selfless motivation towards our higher purpose and our patients, first and foremost playing our part in the fight against HIV as a public threat.
QUALITY AND RIGHT FIRST TIME: There is only one way to carry out procedures and processes and that’s the correct way. We live this by following our procedures and rules, being fully trained and certified to carry out the task, and taking personal responsibility and accountability for the quality and integrity of our work.
The protection of the environment is part of our Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) management system. We are committed to improve constantly our processes to manage environmental performance, working towards the goal of no negative impact on the environment.
Moreover, at PCT every employee is expected to contribute to the prevention of environmental accidents by reporting, analyzing and controlling hazards, as well as in the case of health or safety problems. This is supported by efficient and effective training programs and the development of annual EH&S improvement plans.
The EH&S system includes periodic internal and external audits which result in updated engineering controls and procedures whenever deficiencies are identified. Documentation from existing EH&S programs indicates that PCT has an effective program in place to protect people, equipment, and the environment from its operation.
