PIETRO STEFANUTTI

President

Pietro began his professional career in 1972 as an operations engineer with Shell in the oil production region of Western Venezuela and continued with Exxon Chemicals.

After a short period as Managing Director of an Italian bulk antibiotics manufacturer, Mr. Stefanutti founded Pharmaceutical Fine Chemicals S.A. (PFC) in 1992 and led the original management buy-in of Alfa Chemicals Italiana, the former chemical division of Alfa Wassermann of the Schiapparelli Group. He gained significant experience in the field of M&A after successfully completing two additional acquisitions for PFC, including the Bahamas Chemical Division for Hoffman La Roche (formerly Syntex).

In September 2003, Mr. Stefanutti founded PharmaChem Technologies (GB) Ltd. to acquire Honeywell’s mothballed Bahamian facility. He sold the site to the French company Novasep SAS in 2007 and reacquired the site from Novasep in October 2014.
