ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT PHILOSOPHY
"By keeping our focus on safety, quality, cost and delivery, we will continue to delight our customers now and in the future”. This is our mission statement which drives our operations, goals, and day-to-day activities to ensure first and foremost, the health and safety of our employees, our bordering communities and the environment.
In order to continuously upkeep the highest standards of health and safety, we proactively evaluate potential risks, provide engineering and procedural controls to mitigate those risks and perform regular effectiveness checks on our controls, to ensure conformance, continuous improvement and waste minimization, where possible.
ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH AND SAFETY (EH&S) MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
PCT is an ongoing pharmaceutical production facility which received approvals from FDA and Bahamas Environmental Health Services on its overall operation, including its equipment and procedures. PCT has existing written procedures for EH&S management and has successfully ran its operation for over 10 years without major incidents.
PCT endorses the following:
Protection of the environment, the safety and health of PCT employees, customers, suppliers and all those involved as an integral part of operations.
Continuous improvement of processes to manage safety, health and environmental performance.
Contribute to the business continuity by the systematic control, prevention and elimination of hazards. Continuously work towards the goal of zero incidents and no negative impact on the environment.
Strict adherence to relevant safety, health and environmental governing regulations, as a minimum.
At PCT safety is everyone’s responsibility. Every employee is expected to contribute to the prevention of accidents by reporting, analyzing and controlling safety, health and environmental hazards. This is supported by efficient and effective training programs and the development of annual EH&S improvement plans.
The EH&S system includes periodic internal and external audits which result in updated engineering controls and procedures whenever deficiencies are identified. Documentation from existing EH&S programs indicates that PCT has an effective program in place to protect people, equipment, and the environment from its operation.
